WHAT MAKES KURK DIFFERENT

THE STORY

You are eighteen. Kurkian by blood, but you have never seen the city. You grew up in the refugee quarter of Kamizawa — a shared room above a laundry, a mother whose mind is leaving, a younger brother who asks you to come home.

The posting on the harbour wall offers hazard compensation for a return expedition. You sign because there is no other option.

What you find in Kurk is not what you expected. The corruption is not mindless destruction — it is architecture. The creatures that walk the empty streets were people once. The Seal that holds the city together is cracking. And the expedition's commander knows more than she admits.
